Good patients are equally rare. ;-P

I think it is important to be able to entertain a meme as long as it serves it's purpose or while it is the best one available for the job. Exclusionary memes that resist being rejected or replaced, serve an evolutionary purpose as a safe-guard measure, but people getting locked into accepting only a single belief-system are stuck to a local maxima, and in essence are in their mental evolutionary dead-end.

Do not absolutely accept truths, doctrines or memes, and the road for better ones remains always open, though it may not be visible.

Many career-people are stuck with what they learned and accepted a long time ago, and adamantly stick to their views and principles. Unwilling to change.

The fix: change your Linux window-manager once a week or in some other way force yourself to learn new things and new ways to do stuff. :-)
