You know what this is, but there’s much more to this section than meets the eye….
All original content. See below for my thoughts regarding media culled from the web.
Also original content
yup, they’re links
RECENT UPDATES:
2/16/2003 Added a link or two, cleaned up some
mistakes, updated AGI
design overview and essay on the personal side of AI
2/8/2003 added an in-progress piece I am writing which takes a look at how I came to the conclusions, opinions, and goals expressed in the material on this site, and elsewhere. It’s tentatively titled ‘Beginnings: An outsider approach to artificial intelligence’. Check it out :-)
2/7/2003 minor additions, updated the AGI design doc, etc, etc… oh and check this out: the very scary side of internet personals 1 & 2
2/2/2003 added an in-progress detailed description of my AGI design
2/1/2003 added short bio page.
Everything on this site
(except the WTA, AI-depot, and EXI logos above, and the OA logo on the links
page) is original content, created by me, and me alone. All original content © 2002, 2003 by Jonathan Standley. Most of the fonts used on this site are from

You can do whatever you want
with the ideas, designs, art, etc. you will find on this site. By using my content, you agree to:
A) Absolve
me of any and all liability and responsibility arising from use of the content
discussed above.
B) Give credit to me for my work. (If all you’re using
it for is utilitarian purposes, than don’t worry about it; read the paragraph
below for what I mean when I say utilitarian purposes.)
Well that’s about it. Except this: Some of the art on this site is derivative, in the sense that
source imagery was taken from the results of Google image searches. However, nothing here is ripped off of
someone else’s creative work. All of
said images are pictures of things that exist in the real world. Copyright law may have a problem with this,
but I bluntly don’t care. These images
were selected because I have neither the time nor resources to take my own
pictures of cells, robots, places far from where I live, etc. They were used for strictly utilitarian reasons. If it really bothers you that your image is
used, ask me and I will consider removing it.
Current intellectual property law hobbles cultural and scientific
growth, and I will not follow such corporate-bought travesties such as the DMCA
and the like.
