virus: High Art and low life

I thought so, too. Then I saw "Saving Private Ryan". It really shocked me, especially that silly corporal talking about high art while his buddies died around him. That was me, the intellectual...afraid to die, afraid to kill. Afraid to live. I cried and cried. But what I learned was that there may be some day when all this must be put aside and no matter how FUBAR the world is, sometimes you just have to pick up the gun and shoot. Not becuase it's good, but becuase that's what life is, sometimes.
