To me "mind control" is bending someone to your way of thinking so that
they accept your premises uncritically. It is the opposite of encouraging
critical thinking and giving someone the tools to effectively question
your premises.

In this context I see a more mild definition of mind control in that it
is more like to influence or convince with an argument.
