If you mean that all communication is based on assumptions that
are not intrinsically tautological (John's "faith"), I agree.
But if you mean our strength of belief necessarily deviates from
that indicated by available evidence (David's "faith") I disagree.
I'm going to assume you meant the former (despite that fact it
is not intrinsically tautological) because doing so would in no way
contradict available evidence. (Can you tell I'm a Hofstadter fan? :-)
