Actually the book you are sensing is more like the Torah and/or the Old
Testament. (a little bigger than Brodie's proportions) I am reminded of
the power attributed to "the word" in the Jewish tradition as well as
the mystical writings regarding the Golem-- a creature brought to life
with the Hebrew word pronounced "emet" (truth) and dissolved to its
native dust when the first letter is erased, making "met" (death).
