Hello Richard. Me again. Antifreewill man. I'm trying to pick up on all the
debate about Levels... I absolutely agree that memes interact and give rise
to more abstract memes at another (we tend to think of it as "higher")
level. But, surely, I can have a meme which causes me to appraise less
abstract memes and accept/reject them... but where's my choice about whether
or not to apply THAT meme?

A separate request: you replied to my original posting (which now looks a
bit hasty in parts, sorry) about consciousness arising from the interaction
of memes. Now, this fits in with my theory... can you expand on that at all?
In the meantime, I've just got my copy of "Consciousness Explained" by
Daniel Dennett, so I'm going to give that a scan, see if it lights any
candles...

Is there a baptism I've missed out on? What're the rites of passage?

Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose (The more things change, the more
it's a meme thing)
