There's a fine point here.

Sure, light can travel faster than c--if no-one's looking!!!!!!!!
Virtual particles have the same problem.

We'll never *observe* it travelling verifiably faster than c.
Supraluminal jets from almost quasar-distance galaxies notwithstanding....
