I think that might be because I don't know where I stand on a lot of issues.
I'm just making it up as I go along, with what my rationality tells me to do.
I guess I haven't got to that stage in life where all personal beliefs are
all standard, and where decisions concerning such are much easier.

I AM open to new ideas, I believe it's the only way one can avoid becoming
indoctrinated into a set of beliefs, and then becoming narrow minded and
bigotted. To become such is one of my greatest fears.

I love to debate things which the "normal" (if such a thing exists) world, view
as heathenistic, or impossible (my pet subject is the existance of God, and
I enjoyed that thread very much indeed!), or purely doubtfull. I will try and
bring it all round to science eventually, but I believe that everything can
and will be explained by science eventually. It must be possible, as every
interaction can be said to be under the monika of either Physics, Chemistry or
Biology. For example, although the existance of Ghosts is "Supernatural", and
not necessarlity true, the argument that they are not within the realms of
science is totally wrong! Such a spectre could well be explained by either
chemical reactions in the brain, or physical presence itself. No one knows
the limits of science. Did that make sense?

The reason that I view tarot a little differently from the "supernatural" is
because it is about predicting the future. This concept is not so far out
that I'll turn round and tell you that there is NO WAY in which it works,
because I really don't know if it does or it doesn't. To do so would make
me one of the things that I despise. I will say, however, that I cannot see
how it can work, simply because that is true - I don't know how it works. The
problem with predicting the future is that the future is so subjective to
many factors. Each individual has it in him to alter the coarse of events.
To know how things are going to happen would require so much sensory input,
and so much computational power, and so much reasoning, that I don't know if
the human brain would be capable of it (mind you, we don't know everything that
it does). If I had the mental capacity to predict the future, then I would
have know well in advance that my girlfriend (ex-girlfriend now) was going to
sleep with one of my friends!!!!!! (bitter - me - never!)

I think that the most likely way that tarot tells what is going to happen is by
the power of suggestion. I have a friend in Ireland, who is a practicing Black
Witch, and she told me how she regularly uses the power of suggestion on people
to make them do what they maybe don't want to do. If a person is told that
they're going to meet a "tall dark stranger" (excuse this example for its
unoriginality), then maybe they will have had it suggested sufficiently for them
to approach the first "tall dark stranger" they meet, if you know what I mean.
This would then fulfill the prophecy.

I'm definately up for the virus-game, and have already subscribed to the mailing
list for it. I think it might even be quite successful. I hope it's
successful, but maybe, for the quality of debate, I might play Devil's Advocate
here, and be a bit of scheptic.
