It is a product of 'Western' culture as well, not just a USanian
dinosaur, although its manifest destiny came about here....
The idea of the self as individual is a difficult thought _not_ to
grasp, especially having grown up in this US of A.
I can shed the imprimatur of 'uniqueness' however, very quickly, where
needs and desires are concerned, and culture is perhaps the pot in
which we enstew ourselves, although you can't too often choose the
brand....
The ideal government is a just government, whatever that means, but it
usually means the government that regards all people as equal before
it. Such a government has not happened yet. I dare say it never will,
but then the not small dream that I feel Virus represents would not
exist, so I say dare.
