virus: Memetic evolution

Simply as a matter of curiosity, I have a couple of questions that I'd
like to ask to readers of this list.

Do you feel that consciousness is potentially separable from the body/brain?

Given the premise that the future of human evolution lies at least
partially in the realm of memes/ideas/etc, does anyone care to speculate
on the direction that evolution may be taking?
