...on the topic of why evolition is a product of consciousness and not the other way around, the process outlined by Darwin is essentially a process of change in response to environmental conditions, "evolution" implies a process and direction - both of which are facets of the universe brought into being by consciousness. To the extent that there is an environment in which change happens, that environment is defined by consciousness. ...not mystical [though I don't at all cavil at that label], but contextual.
