But- they will know the circle, and they will know the operation to arrive at . The symbol that we show them which is our product of this operation is just the same thing they show us as their product, in a different language. We will all know the referent. IMHO, the 'map' is irrelevant. In this case, the territory is _merely_ mapped (in whatever language)- the 'map' is not the essential piece here. (Whereas in much, oh too too much, of philosophy, the map is all there is....) Once a circle, always a circle.... Some things are there without force upon them, and those things are true. That may sound Platonic, but it ain't.

Every fact is backed up by the whole universe.

The fact we are seeing the universe is a good thing, because we don't have to. And we don't have to show it to anyone else. But we do.
