>How do you describe sex to a virgin?
Ain't it more- how do you describe 'non-virginity' to a virgin?
How do you describe level 2 to a level 1'er? Or 3 to 2, or 1 to 0? Or apples to oranges?
Although, I think that's more like 'sex' in this example than anyone here really wants to admit.
And I think D.H. Lawrence described sex very well to this particular virgin at the time.
But I had to learn non-virginity from experience.
I've made this point before. There is no knowledge of real heat without being burned.
Every transcendent insight is a metaphor. The really good metaphors stick around.
Or like grains of sand, they get stuck in your toes....
