virus: Theory Of Everything

I picked up the latest issue of "Discover" magazine yesterday and saw a little article about Stephen Hawkings. In the article, Hawkings refers to "The Theory Of Everything" and how science is getting close to working out this theory. He also states something to the effect of how science gets close to achieving this task but falls short--to which he adds, "I've got my money on it."

1. Does anyone know where I can find out more information on "The Theory Of Everything."
2. Does anyone really believe that we'll eventually have a complete and infallible system of knowledge about everything in the universe?
