Hi,

This raises an interesting question: Does a thing need to have a
physical presence in order to have an objective existence?

Well, I don't know. Let's start by considering something like physical laws (or relationships). Is "E=mc^2" objective? Or does it merely deal with objective quantities?
If we can decide the existential status of physical laws, we will be much closer to an understanding of the existential status of meaning (which I think is also a type of relationship).
